Volunteering promotes good health spiritually, emotionally and physically. Medical research shows that not only do volunteers feel healthier, they are healthier due to increased energy, lower blood pressure, less depression and better eating and sleeping habits. Kahlil Gibran said, "You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give." It is evident that volunteers always get more than they give.
