Education Session One
- Communication Strategies – Michelle Walter, Director of Clinical Engagement/Operational Readiness, Avera

Dr. Bill Lampe and RN Tara Ulmer discuss how to impact your community with a quality assurance performance improvement project, including how to choose the right project, how to implement your plan, how to collect the correct data, and how to maintain your results for years.
Most of us get tired of work at one time or another, no matter what our occupation. Therapist Pat Lindemann helps her audience identify the symptoms of compassion fatigue and burnout, then discusses ways to combat those symptoms.
Education Session Two
Chef Amanda View shows us how to turn common health care recipes into healthier entrees, including how to substitute common ingredients to lower caloric content. She also explores reasons to offer a healthy food entrée daily to staff and guests.
Avera Foundation President, Jerry Soholt has practiced the art of networking for decades. Attendees will learn how to identify and capitalize on networking opportunities, as well as how to translate those opportunities into enduring, mutually-beneficial relationships.
One of Avera's leading experts on Service Excellence, Bonny Culhane, tells how to create and sustain a culture of excellence by using alignment, action and accountability. She will also provide effective tactics to improve the patient experience in the changing health care environment.
